Re: New York State Fairgrounds Coliseum
Date: August 10, 2010
I write to provide all of the pertinent facts relative to our continued
utilization of the Coliseum, while at the same time dispel (or confirm) any
and all rumors about our use of the facility. John Bierman and I met with
officials from the New York State Fair last Friday relative to the annual
turnover of the Coliseum. Although we have typically received the Coliseum
in the middle to latter part of October, the officials from the New York State
Fair have determined that they will not be able to turnover the Coliseum to
us until November 8, 2010. This is due to the fact that the Syracuse
Invitational Sporthorse Tournament, which purportedly brings $8,000,000 to
the Central New York region, has requested continued use of the Coliseum
until November 7,2010. Apparently the Syracuse Invitational intends to
utilize the Coliseum and other parts of the Fairgrounds for stabling and
practice.

This year the Midstate Youth Hockey Association will be continuing to offer rental equipment for the Initiation, Mini-Mites and Special Hockey Teams. The cost is $70, with a refund of $50 when the equipment is returned in good condition prior to the start of the next season. Please see attached form. If interested please print out and bring a copy with you to the first day of practice or registration. Limited quantities are available to please send an email to Cory Jenner at
