To all members of Midstate Youth Hockey/Syracuse Stars Youth Hockey: USA Hockey, with assistance from the NHL, has developed a new Long Term Athlete Development Model ("LTAD"). This "model" will involve the administration of High Performance Centers ("HPC"). At its annual meeting this month, USAHockey passed this initiative and approved the implementation of these new High Performance Programs effective September 1, 2009. Although we were aware of the concept and its administrative research & development, we were not aware USA Hockey would implement it so quickly. I have cut and pasted a letter from our USA Hockey President and a letter from our New York State President below for your review. Also attached are some of the documents circulated at the annual meeting in Florida as well as a letter from our Travel Director, Steve Cibelli. Please review each of them. |
